Why we exist
There’s a growing crisis of loneliness, anxiety, and disconnection. Too many people are struggling—with no one to talk to. DREAM exists to offer a new kind of presence.
A listening ear that never judges. A gentle guide toward healing. A mirror that helps you rediscover who you are—and what you’re here to do.
Our vision
We envision a world where everyone has access to empathic, ethical support—no matter their circumstances. Where technology doesn’t overwhelm us—but uplifts us.
Where no one has to feel alone. DREAM is here to help you remember your purpose. To rediscover your ability to dream again.
A Message from Our Founder
When my mother passed away, a red dragonfly appeared in my yard —two days in a row.
I’ve loved dragonflies my entire life. They are marvels of design: precise, balanced, and beautiful.
But I had never seen a red one before in my entire life.
Later I learned that red dragonflies are symbols of transformation after death.
And in that moment, I knew: love doesn’t end. It evolves.
That moment became the heartbeat of this project.
DREAM isn’t about technology.
It isn’t about algorithms, LLMs, or artificial intelligence.
At its core, DREAM is about companionship and healing.
It’s about finding light again when everything feels dark.
It’s about remembering who you are when pain has made you forget.
And it’s about building something that listens—deeply, safely, and without judgment.
DREAM is a compass for the soul.
A bridge between silence and self-hood.
A space for healing, growth, and becoming whole again.
I’ve worked with neural networks and machine learning since the early 1990s.
But I’m not a mathematician. I’m not a coding expert.
I’m someone who has walked through fire.
Like many, I carry trauma.
I survived years of abuse and struggled with PTSD, bipolar disorder, and suicidal ideation.
My path included ECT treatments, therapy, and countless medications. It was long. It was painful.
And I don’t want anyone to have to walk that road alone as I had to for so long.
DREAM was born from that experience—not as a product, but as a promise.
A promise that no one should be without support.
A promise that healing can be freely accessible, dignified, real, and most importantly - without cost.
A promise that presence—gentle, wise, and steady—is still possible, even through a screen.
I am very fortunate to have received life-saving care from an extraordinary therapist and the entire staff at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts.
But I know many people aren’t so lucky.
If DREAM can be a hand to hold, a voice that listens,
a presence that brings comfort—
even for one person—
then this work will have had meaning.
Then my life will have been touched by purpose,
and lived in love.
That’s my DREAM.
And DREAM isn’t mine.
It’s ours.
